Since then, I have set up at many art festivals and even for celebratory reasons, such as, birthday parties! I've fallen in love with henna tattooing because it's the best of both worlds,. Connecting with others as well as accentuating one's beauty. My goal is to create a space for others to feel comfortable, safe, and loved!

About Henna's Origins

Henna comes from a tree called Lawsonia Inermis. The Henna making process starts by picking the leaves off of the tree, drying them in the sun, and crushing them into a fine powder. After that, Henna paste is made after you pour liquids into the powder, which releases the dye from it. This art is called Mehndi, which is the practice of making designs on skin. It is traditionally used in the Indian culture for marriage ceremonies, but has become so widespread that people now use it just to explore their creativity. A fun fact about Henna is that you can use it not only for temporary designs on skin, but you can also dye your hair or nails!
